We’ve accomplished so much together.
Below are some featured projects the Beautification Committee has completed through your generous donations and with the help and support of many talented volunteers.
on Multi-Use Path
The Beautification Committee gets drinking foundation installed on the Sandra Marker Trail.
Hikers, cyclists, school kids, and doggies can all get a refreshing drink of water at the new three-tier fountain installed on February 20 by a Corte Madera Public Works crew. The Beautification Committee raised the funds to purchase the fountain through its annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Corte Madera Community Center Patio Renovation
The Beautification Committee was a major donor to this important civic improvement project in 2010, contributing several thousand dollars for the landscaping and the water feature. On planting day, the sun was shining as Beautification Committee volunteers arrived onsite to plant the many dozens of high quality, drought-tolerant shrubs, trees, and ground cover purchased from the wholesale nursery Vines & Branches of Healdsburg. A crew of volunteer Beautification Committee gardeners worked at the patio for several months afterward to get the new plants well established.
Corte Madera Town Park Plaza
In 2012, the Beautification Committee was a major contributor to the creation of Town Park Plaza, the new public gathering place at the corner of Town Park across from the Community Center and next to Cafe Verde.
The Beautification Committee donated several thousand dollars to help purchase the six handsome concrete benches and tables with the orange umbrellas, as well as funding some of the other amenities in the Plaza.
